I don’t know about you but I’m glad that SASI has appointed Alexis Lebedew as head coach for the volleyball programme.  Having sat with Alexis today it is easy to see that his wealth of knowledge and approach to the game is going to bear fruit in the future.  It is also pleasing to rest with the knowledge that Mark Lebedew is only a phone call away with ideas to make our state game better.

The message to the clubs is the very clear age old statement of “If you want to help the game, make sure your players can get the basics perfected before trying to get to the fancy stuff”.  That said, there is always a place for game play and tactics.  This is going to be built into our focus going forward as a club.

The other great piece of news is that SASI trials/open day for volleyball will be held on the 12th September at Kidman Park.  Bring back the mighty South Aussies.
